How we work · Sample quotePractice areas
Most problems cross lines. A business sale is tax, contracts and a pension question at once, so the right people sit in the same meeting.
Year end accounts, self assessment, VAT and payroll, with a named accountant who answers your emails.
Shareholder agreements, commercial contracts, employment issues and buying or selling a company.
Wills, lasting powers of attorney, probate and trusts, handled carefully and explained at each step.
Pensions, retirement income and investment planning, set against your tax position rather than in isolation.
Who we help
Our clients rarely need a specialist for one thing. They need a steady adviser who knows the whole picture.
Accounts, contracts and the tax on what you take out, in one relationship.
Incorporation, share structures and first hires set up properly from day one.
Wills, probate and passing on wealth, handled with patience and privacy.
Pensions, income and tax planned together so the numbers hold up.
Plain answers
Straight answers to the questions we hear most.
A short, direct answer first. Your own situation will add detail, which is what the free consultation is for.
You speak with a qualified adviser for up to 30 minutes, in person or by video. You explain the situation, we ask the questions that matter, and we tell you plainly what we would do, who would do it and how the fee works. There is no obligation to instruct us afterwards.
If the question is about numbers, tax or filings, start with an accountant. If it is about rights, contracts, property or an estate, you need a solicitor. Many questions need both, such as selling a business or dealing with probate, which is why we keep both disciplines in one firm and one conversation.
For most work we agree a fixed fee in writing before we start, so you know the cost up front. Ongoing services such as accounts and payroll are a set monthly amount. Where a fixed fee is not possible, we give an estimate with a clear cap. Your price range here.
Bring whatever explains the problem: recent accounts or tax returns, a letter you have received, a contract, or an existing will. It does not need to be complete or tidy. If you have nothing on paper yet, that is fine too, because the first job is simply to understand where you stand.
